What are we TACKLING?
Of the many problems explained earlier, we have focussed on one specific one- that of insects. We have worked on INSECT contamination in the PRE HARVEST stages- and there's reason why:
One must realize that there are a variety of insects which affect the fruit, the tree or both. Furthermore, their life cycles and their biology is pretty different from each other. So finding one thing to tackle them all is a tough job. We have come up with a solution (now referred to as LIMURON 3) that tackles the lot.
The insects which mainly haunt the King of fruits are:
- Fruit flies
- Mealy bugs
- Mango seed and pulp weevils (further referred to as MSW and MPW)
- Red Banded Mango Caterpillar (further referred to as RBMC)
- Insect trouble is universal- our solution has potential to help even if you don't grow mango.
- Insect trouble is relatively new area when it comes to mango production- no consolidated, effective solution exists.
- Insect trouble, as stated earlier is the prelude to bacteria and fungi. Controlling it is definitely very essential.
